Out and about

Today we decided to explore the town of Armidale and Danagers Gorge which meant that we had to drive on the left hand side of the road. That took some getting used to but since there wasn't a lot of traffic, we could go slow and keep saying "stay to the left."

We also learned that "give way" means yield and overtake means pass. Several people passed me so I guess I was going too slow for them. A lot of the roads we traveled on were dirt. There are only a few major paved roads and the dirt ones are narrow, sometimes only one lane. This paved road was pretty narrow too!

This is one of the buildings in Armidale. Look at the iron work around it. When we went to Uralla (another town), we saw the same architecture.

This is Dangar
Falls. Not much water running because they haven't had much rain. Notice there's a rainbow showing.

This the gorge where we saw the waterfall.

We haven't seen a live kangaroo yet. We think we saw one or two dead along the road. We are pretty sure they are around because we saw this along the road just outside of Armidale.
