Sunday, October 14 -- on the way to Dubbo

Weather was cool and crisp as we left Armidale on our way to Dubbo on the New England Highway. No interstates here. All 2 lane. We left the NE Hwy for a much smaller road to Duri and Currabubula (2 small towns). At Werris Creek, we took a much smaller road to Caroona to Premer then south to Coolah and Dunado and then east to Dubbo on the Golden Highway.

We overnighted at the Cattlemen's Hotel. Dubbo is a larger town of about 25,000 people. We walked about town for about 3 miles. One thing we noticed about these towns is that they have information centers and several have their own town swimming pools. Keep in mind that there are kms and kms between towns, sometimes 1.5-2 hours driving distance. Pic of the Courthouse in Dubbo
